Pilates Class is located at 5532 Joyce Street, at the intersection of Joyce Street and Kingsway, near the Joyce–Collingwood SkyTrain Station.

If you arrive more than 5 minutes early, please wait before entering - the studio may still be closed. We are a boutique studio by appointment only, and sessions begin right on schedule.

You might also meet our friendly furry assistant, Nala the golden retriever, who occasionally greets clients. If you’re not comfortable with dogs, no worries - she’ll stay quietly on the sidelines.

Wear whatever makes you feel comfortable and allows you to move freely. We recommend soft, flexible activewear and ask that you avoid jeans, zippers, or anything that might catch on the equipment.

Shoes are not worn in the studio - please bring or wear socks with grips (antislip socks) for your safety and the best experience. Regular socks are also ok!

Before your first appointment, you’ll receive an online intake form - please complete it at least 12 hours before your visit.

During your introductory session, we’ll take things slow to properly assess your movement patterns, breathing, and alignment. You’ll learn:

• How to breathe laterally

• How to sequence the spine

• How to engage your deeper core muscles

Your instructor will guide you through every step carefully, ensuring safe use of the Reformer and other apparatus. You’ll have plenty of time to ask questions along the way.

As mentioned in our About Pilates section, tactile cueing (hands-on guidance) is an important part of Pilates teaching. You can indicate your comfort level with touch in your intake form, but we highly recommend it for the most effective learning experience.

Your safety and success are our top priorities. To make sure you move confidently and correctly on the equipment, we ask all new clients to complete either 4 private classes or the Reformer Intro Series before joining our regular group classes. This helps you learn the key principles, understand your body’s alignment, and feel fully prepared for a safe and enjoyable class experience.

To truly experience the benefits of Pilates, consistency is key. We recommend practicing 2–3 times per week, with beginners ideally starting at 2 sessions per week.

We currently accept three forms of payment:

• E-transfer: Send to pilatesclassvancouver@gmail.com

• Cash: Please bring the exact amount (no change available at the studio)

• Online credit/debit payment: Available through our booking system (3% transaction fee applies)

Please note that all purchases are non-refundable. Packages and sessions can, however, be rescheduled within their validity period in accordance with our cancellation policy.

We kindly ask all clients to honour our 24-hour cancellation policy for every booking.

Your appointment time is reserved just for you - a late cancellation or no-show leaves a gap that another client could have filled.

• Cancellations or changes made less than 24 hours before your appointment will result in a full charge or the loss of one class from your package.

Exception: Please note that for the Reformer Intro Series, there are no cancellations, rescheduling, or refunds available once your spot is booked. As this is a structured 4-class program with limited spaces, commitment to all sessions is required.
