and/or in case of any more questions please reach out via email or message template .

Please note that there is no studio manager at the site, and understand that we usually are not able to answer the phone. The best way to contact is via email or contact form. We will get back to you within 24h.

How to get to your Pilates Class

Pilates Class is located at 5532 Joyce Street by the crossing of Joyce St and Kingsway, near Joyce Collingwood Skytrain station. If driving you can look for a parking spot at the back of the building, as well as Joyce St and a bigger parking lot near London Drugs.

If you arrive more than 5 min early, please wait as the studio might be closed. We are a boutique studio by appointment only.

On some days our friendly furry assistant, golden retriever, Nala will greet you. If you are not comfortable with dogs, she will be just watching the class.

What to wear

Wear whatever you feel most comfortable in. Activewear is recommended, and we request soft fabrics for your freedom of movement and the safety of the equipment (e.g. no jeans, no zippers). For the best experience wear socks with grips at the bottom (antislip socks).

What to expect during your appointment

Before your first appointment, you will receive an online intake form to be filled out at least 12 hours prior to your first visit.

During your very first appointment, you will be moving quite slowly, probably much slower than what you are used to. We will assess what is the best place for your body to start your Pilates journey, learn how to breathe laterally, sequence the spine and engage deeper core muscles.

Your teacher will walk you through every component carefully and assure you use the apparatus safely (in your initial appointment you will get to use reformer as the main apparatus).  We will do our best to answer all the questions you have.

As you may have read in the "About Pilates" section tactile cueing is a big part of teaching Pilates. You can mark in your intake form whether you are comfortable with it or not, but hands-on corrections are very beneficial and highly recommended for the best experience.

To experience the benefits of Pilates it is recommended to practice regularly, therefore 2x or 3x week is the most optimal plan. As a beginner, it is recommended to start 2x week.

Cancellation Policy

We ask our clients to please honour our 24-hour cancellation policy for all bookings.

Your appointment time is reserved just for you. A late cancellation or missed visit leaves a hole in the instructor’s day that could have been filled by another client. As such, we require 24 hours notice for any cancellations or changes to your appointment. Clients who provide less than 24 hours notice, or miss their appointment, will be charged a full price to the card on file or one class will be deducted from the package.
